The latex used in the core is 100% natural. It is extracted directly from the Hevea brasiliensis tree using a process that does not harm the tree. Unlike the very common polyurethane and memory foam materials, natural latex is a natural and healthy material.

Its cultivation is sustainable, and its processing does not require the addition of harmful chemicals.

Made from 100% natural latex

Its 15-cm core is made of 100% natural latex.

This material comes from a tree called Hevea brasiliensis, and it is harvested using completely harmless methods. The latex we use comes from sustainably managed plantations that do not use pesticides or chemical fertilizers. This material has many advantages: it is natural, durable, comfortable, and biodegradable. The Kipli natural latex children’s mattress is manufactured in our factory in Italy, using traditional, family-run craftsmanship.

Today, 90% of mattresses sold in Europe are made from chemical materials derived from petrochemicals. These synthetic materials can also be harmful to health and cause allergies. As for the Kipli mattress, the natural latex is not mixed with any synthetic materials: it is therefore 100% natural latex. It contains no toxic or chemical substances and thus emits no harmful emissions or endocrine disruptors, which are responsible for indoor pollution. The healthy composition of the natural latex mattress has earned it ECO-INSTITUT certification .

Thanks to its cellular structure and natural properties, natural latex is a breathable material. Combined with an organic cotton cover, the natural latex children’s mattress offers exceptional breathability. This combination helps regulate body temperature and promotes quality sleep, while reducing night sweats and nighttime awakenings. It is also naturally antibacterial and dust-mite resistant, making it ideal for people with sensitivities.

For the cover, we’ve chosen an organic cotton ticking. This high-quality, durable fabric weighs 450 g/m² and is hand-sewn in our factory in Italy. The organic cotton is not blended with any other materials, ensuring a completely safe cover. This fabric provides a soft and healthy feel against the skin. For optimal durability and to extend the life of your mattress, the cover of the natural children’s mattress is machine washable. You can easily remove it thanks to a zipper that runs all the way around the mattress. For care, you can wash the cover in the machine (on a delicate cycle at 30°C) or have it professionally cleaned.
