Every day, each of us wakes up after a restful night to face a day filled with choices and decisions to make, including in our daily shopping . And for many of those whochoosea Kipli mattress, it’s about making eco-friendly choices that are good for themselves and the environment. Today we are increasingly aware that the world around usis changing, and we try to counter this trend in our own small way through more sustainable decisions. Riding a bike instead of driving a car, choosing recycled packaging… but are we also aware of the fabrics we use for our clothes?
These days, clothing is manufactured in countries all over the world, using a variety of materials and adhering to principles and values that don’t always align with our own. Making healthier choices for ourselves and our planet means selecting products—such as our mattress or our clothes—based on the materials they’re made from. For the Kipli mattress, we chose EUROLATEX-certified natural latex and 100% Italian craftsmanship. But today we want to tell you about another brand that has made a choice similar to ours, but in a different field: fashion. Here is our natural recommendation.

The Philosophy of CasaGIN
Today we want to tell you about CasaGIN, and why, thanks to them, we can have a more sustainable option in our closets. It all began in 2010 when the founder, Daniela Prandin, decided to take a break from the fashion industry where she worked and travel to India to discover“sé.” During this time, she had the opportunity to reflect on herself and on the concept she wanted to create: a product that is authentic, innovativ, and natural.
Seven years later, Daniela is ready to introduce consumers to the CasaGIN brand, a line of everyday clothing that aligns with the eco-friendly choices many of us strive to make every day. Why start with underwear? Because, quite simply, these are the garments that come into the closest contact with the delicate parts of our bodies, and they need to be made from GIN materials:
-
Genuini: Because the weaving, dyeing, and manufacturing are all done at local Italian companies
-
Innovative: because they prevent pollution and waste.
-
Natural: made from raw materials grown in an eco-friendly way, with respect for the environment and people’s health.
A shared vision between Kipli and CasaGIN
A line of thinking similar to Kipli’s. If we spend a third of our lives sleeping, why should we spend that time on a surface made of synthetic materials that could be harmful to our health? And if we must always wear clothing or underwear in close contact with our skin, why choose fabricsthat are harmful to us and the environment?
But CasaGIN didn’t stop at underwear; it has also developed lines of sportswear for men, as well as homewear, all of which are OEKO-TEX® certified—meaning they are free of substances harmful to health and the environment. We at Kipli were impressed by this decision, as we found ourselves in the same position when selecting materials for our bedroom product line. The use of OEKO-TEX® cotton in our products represents a commitment to the environment and to the health of our customers.
Did you know that, according to a survey by the Varese-based Cotton Textile and Apparel Center (Centrocot), one in four garments sold in Italy does not comply with regulations due to the presence in the fabric of irritants and allergens banned by European law? 1 Kipli, CasaGIN, and other consumer-friendly companies have therefore decided to use certified materials that are safe for you and your family.
Plant Fibers and Eco-Sustainable Innovation
Continuing its commitment to innovation, Casa GIN has chosen to use only ecologically revolutionary plant-based fibers, such as Lenzing Modal® and Lyocell TENCEL™, derived from beech wood and eucalyptus leaves. Grown and produced in Austria, theyare certifiedas eco-friendly and safe for human health. The cellulose fabrics used by CasaGIN are made from100%renewableand biodegradableraw materials.
Why choose cellulose-based fabrics? These fibers have a much smaller environmental impact than traditional cotton, which pollutes our planet’s soil and water 100 times more than Lenzing Modal® fibers.
Inspiration from nature: wood and latex
Natural fibers and trees are a natural resource from which Kipli has also drawn inspiration for its beds. That’s why our bed is handcrafted from FSC-certified Okoumé mas, certified by the FSC. Handcrafted in Italy and made from solid wood sourced from renewable forests,no chemicals are used in its production; it is treated only with wax.
This 100 % natural product was designed to bring nature into our bedrooms alongside the Kipli mattress, so you can spend your nights on materials that are healthier and fresher than other options on the market. CasaGIN drew inspiration from nature and beech wood for its fabrics, just as Kipli has chosen to offer its customers a bed made entirely of natural solid wood.
Conclusions
Here is yet another company that has grown day by day by making eco-friendly choices and deciding to find an alternative to everything we see in store windows every day. Just like us at Kipli, CasaGIN has decided to offer a high-quality alternative and is committed to delivering that quality every day to everyone who chooses to shopand make consciouschoices.
